Something I did not notice when I lived here: the city is built around cars and is very inconvenient if your choice to get from point A to point B mainly by walking...

Still feeling a bit distant and out of sync...

One thing here that contrasts allot with Moscow is that there is very little non-verbal communication between people. Everyone is allot more positive in general, but there is almost no interaction, no glancing, no hostility, no attraction, no body-language... the reaction to me with the camera is also very odd – it's something like passive curiosity, from a distance every one is very curious and talkative, but when I come close it's like I'm not there, every one is ignoring me, but, at the same time, constantly watching what am I doing...

Maybe I'm really out of sync, or I just look too much like an outsider... one thing is for sure, I need more time to adapt :)


On the fun side, it seams that I might be giving a lecture next week, we'll see how it goes :)))
